I am from an HR background with 10 years of work experience. And want to pivot from HR to a Non-profit like the World Bank post-MBA. I want to understand how the admission committee would consider this? Any piece of advice.

MBA Adcoms can be open to 10 years exp, but there are also full-time senior MBA programs - that have curriculum tailored to more experience and career pivots - look at this one at NTU - https://www.ntu.edu.sg/business/admissi ... -overview#:

I have shortlisted a few universities based on my post-MBA goals, like Duke Fuqua and Kellogg’s, for a traditional MBA program. What do you think?

Work Ex: 4.5 years in financial consultancy working with asset managers across the globe and leading a team of 7 after two promotions
Degree and CGPA: BSc. Finance from Tier 1 College in India and 3.6/4
GMAT/GRE: 635 with Q86
Short-term goal: Transition into Front End Asset Management Buyside or Investment Banking
school list/geography: ISB, IIMA PGPX, NUS and NTU (Round 2 for all). Could you please guide me on my chances and advice
Good academics, clear goals, GMAT is slightly lower than average for ISB and at average for IIMA PGPX/NTU/NUS - make sure to share your stand out contributions, any EC’s and any international experience

I think it will be tough, but for Fuqua - really demonstrate why they are the right fit - tight knit, service/impact orientation; for Kellogg - similar with their tracks and you can put a secondary choice of the Kellogg 1 year program down in your application.

If you want US, you can consider the Foster GEMBA program or USC Marshall IBEAR

I think it will be a little harder in the US for 2 year programs - they will really need to see that they can help you get a job post-MBA, which is usually harder b/c companies recruiting at MBAs are looking for candidates under 30 to fill high pressure long hour/travel jobs.

I can understand all these constraints after MBA, but my post-MBA goal is to get into a non-profit.
