Oh thanks bro for the answer ! In terms of the quant I suppose it depends on the school, as in some schools prefer a certain level of quant while others look at the overall.

IMHO, you should check with the schools you plan to apply to.

Hi,

I’m looking to get into a top five school, and today I took the gmat for the first time.

Was really happy to get a 770. The thing is, I got a V50 and a Q48... seems like a big split with regards to percentiles, that quant score is only the 69th%. Additionally, my IR was pretty disappointing with 5/8, 55th%.

I’m currently a senior in college studying mechanical engineering with a 3.90, so I would assume that admissions could see that as evidence of quantitative capability?

What do these scores really mean to admissions?

Thank you in advance
I really don't think that you need to worry about a Q48 when you have a 770 total.

All the best :-)
