Officials of the various Football clubs and the managers of the players are worried about the number of aggressive fouls occurring during the league matches. The number of aggressive fouls has doubled in last two years. Club officials plan to control the number of such fouls during the coming season by implementing mandatory suspension of players who commit aggressive fouls for the rest of the season.
Which of the following, if true, provides the best evidence that the plan will be effective?
A. Managers of the players are in favour of the mandatory suspension of players committing aggressive fouls.null B. A similar group of clubs that suspended players for aggressive fouls has low incidence of aggressive fouls. C. Most players have promised to extend full support to the rule, which will curtail the aggressive fouls. D. To be eligible for the National team, which most of the players dream of, a player needs to play a specific number of league matches. E Referees are adequately trained to discern the aggressive fouls from other fouls.

the reason for the ans not to be B is B talks of a similar gp of people but there is no guarantee that what stands for one gp will stand for another..... D talks of the players of the gp and gives us reason why the players will try and avoid aggressive fouls as it wiil result in thier being disqualified from rest of season and ultimately will come in fulfilling of their dreams...

Now D says
Quote:

Say the total no of matches is 40 and the specific no of matches is 10 (As there is no mention about the numbers so we can assume this, right? ) Now after playing 10th match a player commit aggressive fouls. And if this is the case then the plan will not success! I would have choose D without hesitation if D states
Quote:
To be eligible for the National team, which most of the players dream of, a player needs not to be suspended from league .

And B shows the plan is successful for similar situation earlier. Lack of supporting data makes D a weak contender

I got stuck between B & D.....my experience with OG 10/11/12 says.....when you getting direct strengthner like D then an alternative strengthner has got a lesser chance....so D....

My explination :
Options A , E are not applicable
Option B,C,D:
D) if we take D as true, we are still not clear that then why with such ban in existance, players are becoming aggressive ? this means this ban is not effective. players might use another league to fulfill this condition...hence discarted
C) 'Most players' - needs clarity.....this can also mean that if players not included in most term might be playing aggrssively.....hence discarted
B) A similar group of clubs that suspended players for aggressive fouls has low incidence of aggressive fouls. this shows direct co-relation between players action and Ban....hence option choice
