Hi snigdh0699,
Ambient city noise (such as cars honking) will likely NOT be considered an issue during your Exam, one of the big 'issues' with the At-home version of the GMAT is 'exam security.' In simple terms, there's a concern that some people will try to cheat on their Exams by having help from a 3rd party. By extension, there could also be Test-takers who would try to sell their knowledge of the Exam questions to others. Talking out-loud through the questions that you face during the Exam will likely be seen as a Test violation (since speaking into a recording device is one of the ways that someone might try to document and sell that Test information later on). Knowing this, you can either train to NOT speak out-loud while working or take your Official GMAT at a Test Center (where Exam security is far less of an issue because of all of the security in place).
