I think easy to come to option D and E.
In D, I think found is wrong because it gives you an indication that Facebook was missing somewhere and Mark found it but that was not the case.

So E IMO.

Originally developed for American college students, (whatever was developed needs to follow) which is Facebook. leaving us with C,D,and E

in C we have were-- we need singular was for Facebook
in D we have found-- which is incorrect usage here.
leaving behind E. The answer
