The term halcyon days in itself is not a period-it simply refers to a period.

ans is C
AND demands strict parallelism such as x AND y, where x should be equal to y
originates and refers (after and ) are rightly used and hence have maintained parallism

A. We need a comma between peace and happiness to make it a list of three nouns rather than of two.

B. Modification error. We need "the term" and not "a period" after the comma.

C. We need a complete sentence after "and" to make it 'Independent clause"

D. Correct

E. Modification error. We need "the term" and not "the flourishing" after the comma

There are obvious problems with a b c and e but should d say which flourished together?
