Since the total rainfall in Brooks County is in ascending order, the median is the third element - x.

Given: Average = Median (\(\frac{15+24+x+45+60}{5}= x\))

Solving for x, we get \(144+x = 5x\) -> \(4x = 144\) ->\(x = \frac{144}{4} = 36\)

Therefore, the average rainfall in Brooks County is 36(Option D)
