Count me in for the 2011 batch... Congratulations to all those who made it.

Rest of you... good luck for all your apps. I am sure something will work out for the best. I missed Insead after an interview and got dinged at Cambridge.

Cheers!

Thanks!:)
I've emailed them asking about fee payment timelines, etc- would you know about it? Also with no tie-up with HSBC or the ilk, SBS haven't helped us much!:) how are you placed?

I am delighted to confirm the decision of the MBA Committee to offer you a place on the 2011-2012 programme. Your interviewer was very impressed when they spoke to you during your interview and the MBA Committee has agreed that you meet the very high standard expected of an Oxford student.

After a very hard day at work (without access to mails or phone) ... finally the dream has come true... Congrats to all who have also made it...

For people who missed out .. all the best for other applications/ future rounds..

No info on finances or scholarships but I guess it will all be on the intranet.

What a day................

No, dont know about the timelines unfortunately. Def need info on loans myself, surprised they dont have any tie-ups with big banks! I will check with one of my friends who is a student at Said and post it up here.

Hi Everybody,
just discovered gmatclub.. was regular at Pg and bw .. bt cudnt find threads for Said as active.

I too got in. So, congos to all.
From what i have gathered from the posts also, there is not help in financing for the school. So, its a personal loan for all attending.
If guys do get a different response, do post.
To more important things, has any of you admits decided to go to said yet? or are waiting for more results?
I would say ppl who are sure of going to said, lets make a group in facebook and discuss the nuances going forward.
Do PM me ur ids and i will send out requests by the end of the day, so that the thread does not get spammed by useless talks which ppl intending will talk abt .. such as living, traveling, meeting up, loans, schols, colleges.. bcoz being a 1 yr degree, its gonna be real fast. I am heading out to meet an alum of SBS on tuesday as well. will post my experiences on the group as well.

Congos once again to all . and ATB for the rest.

Gaga: it is indeed a bit of a worry for candidates like me who can't self-sponsor the course fee, etc. I am an Indian and have been doing some research and Credila seems to be a good option. They don't seem to have a limit of 20lakh rupees that most nationalized banks have, they are also specialist in education loans so are more aware of context-apt processes like visa application, etc. I also looked up some info on Paras (think it's called something like isoloan or isloan) and they offer better rates (7-8% range) however need a US-cosignor, which is something I don't have so paras is ruled out for me. Be good to hear what others are doing too?

I am still hoping the Said intranet will shed more light on bank loan options in the UK for international students. Otherwise, this could get tricky.

Hey guys,

Please let me know about the loan options before I hit that submit button in January and take a hit on my credit card.
