Re: Calling all Haas (2018 intake) applicants: Class of 2020 [#permalink]
Quick question - as an Indian applicant who has always studied/worked in an English speaking environment, am I mandatorily required to take TOEFL/IELTS?

The English language proficiency requirement page states that "Regardless of the language of instruction, degrees from the following countries or regions do not meet this requirement" and India is there in this list. I did not come across anything similar on any of the other schools' apps.

Thoughts anyone?

Received my interview invite just over an hour ago, I am based in the Oceania region.

After getting dinged at Stanford earlier this week, the interview invite was a nice surprise :) I loved Haas when I visited so hoping this results in an offer down the track...

I'm sure you will with your stats. There's plenty of time and I think you got the ready for review email after me, right?

Got it on 17/10. I don't know man. Haas was the ONLY school that interviewed me last year with much weaker stats. I was really hopeful for this year. Of all the schools I researched they were the most friendly and warm.

Yes, they definitely are. I am in Eastern Europe, so I guess they are reviewing Eastern Europe/Europe. Not sure if they started India though, don't remember any invites.

P.S. I'm a girl:)

Hey. Apologies for my gender presumption. Yeah I haven’t seen Indian Haas invites yet. Haas is extremely diverse though. The current class has three Indians. Mind blowing.

Also, congrats on the GSB invite. Which other schools are you looking at?

No worries:)) I've submitted to Columbia (RD). If none of them work out, then I'll look into other schools in R2, MIT, NYU and UCLA

Here’s not not having to. All the best. I’m going to keep my head down the next week and just hope for some Californian good news. Last year I got my invite a week before the deadline.
