To everyone waiting anxiously for their interview invites, wish you good luck. Having been a student at the GSB for the past 1.5 years (I am nearing graduation), I can say that being a student at the GSB has its own ups and downs. If you get in, it will start on a high. But then the school will push you completely outside your comfort zone. You might even feel that you don't know yourself as good as you thought. But you know what, you made it to Stanford, so you WILL persevere. By the end of your two years, the person that will graduate will be a different person, a better person, than the one who got in to Stanford.

For me, this whole ride turned out to be more than just an MBA. For me, it changed the way I think about life, challenges and my own self. Yes, it involved anxieties, disappointments and frustration, but it also involved excitement, joy and satisfaction of accomplishing projects that helped other people...and I would totally do it all over again.

Is it better to fly somewhere in person for an interview with an alumni or to have a phone interview with an MBA admissions director do you think?

Is that actually a choice you are faced with? I haven't heard of GSB's adcoms doing many interviews, especially if they can match you with a local alum.

Hey there!

I have my interview with Stanford on Thursday and would love to mock interview to practice. Anyone available these days to do it to each other?

Cheers!

|Hi there, yeah, since it's not possible in my city, they said I could interview over the phone with them or do an interview with an alumni in a different city. Sounds like the MBA adcom member is a better option...

Yes -- I would go directly with the adcom if I were you! Good luck!
