I wasn't 100% sure what you meant by backlogs. 18 attempts on the GMAT is not ideal, but it's not necessarily a deal breaker. A critical factor in the strength of your candidacy will be the quality of your work experience & the accomplishments you have under your belt. Very strong work experience can outweigh a low GPA. That said, if you only have two years of experience, you will be on the low end for b-school (and also less time to rack up those accomplishments). Most schools want applicants with 3-5 years of experience upon matriculation so you'll be right at that 3 year mark it sounds like. That said, on the flip side is that if you do apply this year & don't get in you can re-apply next year & still be in range.
