Dear rohan2345,

I'm happy to respond.

This is not the most solid SC, but I could see that it would be good practice, particularly for non-native speakers.

First of all, the verb at the end has absolutely no need of the progressive tense, so (C) is out.

We want to denote one of the "participants," one of them, so to start the clause, we need "one of whom." Only choice (D) uses this construction correctly.
