First of all, we don't know whether there are any other books available.
Second, to get to $104, the number of M and H will have different possibilities. Insufficient.
St 2: 4M = 104
We don't know how many other books are available. Insufficient.
(1+2) Each M = $1 and Each H = $25 and 4M = $4
Therefore, 25H = 104 - 4; H = 100/25 = 4
Answer is C, as both statements are together sufficient.

from St2 nos. of mistery book and its cost is given that is 4 book and costs 4$ so from this we can calculate total cost of history book that is 104-4 = 100 but again we don't have nos. so this is also not sufficient by combining together we can conclude the no. of history book. each cost 25$ total =100 so nos. is 4 ans is C
