Here is my reasoning.
this question falls under causal and conclusion category.
X-->Y
(X)Chillness has caused (Y) COLD and hence Chillness allowed a virus to infect the person.
When author presents causal and conclusion questions , author believes that stated cause is the only reason for the stated effect.
The reasoning can be weakened
1 - By bringing in new information (Z) also reason for Y.
Or 2 - If we can show the reverse i.e - Y is causing the X.
Here - option B shows the point 2 - After a rhinovirus has incubated in a person for several days, the first symptom it causes is a feeling of chilliness.
It is the virus causing the Chillness.
