Hi folks,
Am planning a trip in late-Sept to visit Tuck, MIT and HBS. Here's the rough itinerary I'm considering:
- Wed night fly to Boston
- Thurs: visit MIT, HBS
- Thurs PM: rent car, drive to Hanover
- Friday: visit Tuck, drive back, fly home in the PM

Thoughts? is it worth renting a car? Should I instead take the bus from Bos-Hanover?
other ideas?

I think the Dartmouth coach is pretty reliable - and as long as you plan to get to Hanover the night before, rather than do the trip all in one day, I think you would be fine taking the bus.

when do you plan on going, ac? I'll be making the exact same trip but want to make sure classes are in session when I visit.

If you plan to do the formal class visit and ambassador programs at HBS and MIT I'm not sure if you'll be able to do them both in the same day. I think they overlap a little in timing, but I'm not sure.

Thanks terp - I do plan to get to Hanover the night before so the bus could work out. Do you think a car is needed in Hanover at all? Ideally, I'd like to stay at one of the Marriott-family hotels and they seem to be about 3 miles from Dartmouth; they do have free shuttle service to/from the campus.

I'm currently looking at the week of 9/12 or 9/19 - I'm waiting to hear back from my boss about getting the day off (he's not agreeing to my ideal dates) but will know for sure in the next week :)

With regards to interviews, it seems that the earliest date offered for on-campus interviews is 9/12. For classes, Tuck seems to have open visits the week of 9/15. the links are off this page: https://www.tuck.dartmouth.edu/admissions/visit.html
