E:-
'playing' requires 'requires'.... intense is an adj ,so requires noun focus...... in games and game , go with original games.
all except E are found with some faults as mentioned above....

Picked 'B' thinking that 'it' in the later part refers to singular...

What is the OA?

Play music games require an intense focus on the separate elements of a song, which leads to a greater intuitive knowledge of musical composition. When you need to move your body in synchrony with the music in specific ways, it connects you with the music in a deeper way than when you are just listening to it.

B. Playing music game requires an intense focus on the separate elements of a song,
C. Playing music games requires an intense focusing on the separate elements of a song,
D. Music games playing requires an intense focus on separating the elements of a song,
E. Playing music games requires an intense focus on the separate elements of a song,

what is the source of this question....i doesnt seem to be a gmatic SC. i have not seen any OG sc in which 2 sentences is separated by a full stop like this question. according to GMAT Lord, Ron Purewal, stay away from ungmatic question.

Shouldn't it be playing music games require or playing music game requires instead of playing music games requires?

No.
This is Gerund acting as a Subject. Whenever this opens the sentence as a subject, the verb has to be singular.

Eg,
Travelling countries is my favourite hobby.

What I can not make out here is though, the difference between B and E?

Option B has "game" as in singular while option E has "games".

I guess B is the correct choice.
