Please assess my Issue Task answer for GRE:
Question: College students should base their choice of study on the availability of jobs in that field.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim in developing and supporting your position,be sure to address the most compelling reasons and/or examples that could be used to challenge your position.

For it's a critical decision in one's life, students should choose their field of study depending upon desire and field of interest. Despite of the many critics of this approach, the argument urges students to select their field of study based on the availability of jobs.
In my opinion, students should select the field they are interested in, because it's known that people will do the best if they love what they are doing. Choosing the field of study based on jobs may result in forcing some students to join fields they are not interested in. Cnsecuently, they will start to wave at the first challenge they face.
Nontheless, the argument assumes that the jobs availability will remain the same during the study period of students. The fact is that economy constantly changes and new industries emerge as other ones diminish. For instance, a student might find his selected field of study is narrowing in the employment rate after graduation which will have a devastating effect on his intellect.
As the argument suggestion has the aforementioned disadvantages on the students, it also harms the economy as a whole. Industries with less employment rates will remain as is and will not have the enough candidates for work.
This position, though, is not incontestable. After graduation, students will seek to get jobs to gain experience, if they choose a field with less employment rate, then they can become depressed of the lack of opportunities.
