You may want to take a couple of simulation tests to see if you can identify any more specific patterns. The thread that bb linked you to (how to improve verbal) is a helpful thread, so take a look at that as well!
With regards to RC questions, our tutors recommend that you alter your approach to reading passages. Instead of reading the passages to simply absorb the material, you should also have an active approach when reading. Ask yourself the following questions when reading the RC passages:
What is the main idea of this passage?
What is the author's position and tone?
What is the structure of the argument?
Start reading publications such as the NY Times, Businessweek, the Economist. Read the oped section, as they often use a language level similar with and are about the same length as the GMAT RC questions.
