I don’t think so but it really depends on you and him and your relationship. You can always tell him it is his fault if you get dinged 😂

He can send a short note but I don’t think it will really matter. Someone else will be reading the LOR and likely never see that email...

Maybe someone more experienced has a better idea?

Hi All

My recommender just called me saying that he mentioned the wrong school in the LOR for Duke's MMS program. I had applied to Indian School of Business (ISB) for their MBA program a few months back with the same recommender. Since the questions were the same he sent out the same recommendation with minor tweaks but apparently, a mention of ISB went through to Duke.

Will it hamper my chances? Also, should he send a mail to the Adcom to notify them of this error? If yes, what should he write.

Please help. Thanks a lot in advance.

It's not a big deal... not sure you need to contact them and explain, but if you do - just tell them you applied to another program and used the same recomender. It should not harm your chances.
You have the right to do so, many applicants apply to more than one program.

Got an answer today from Liza (end of the video) - it happens often enough that AdCom will overlook it :-)

Hope you got in by the way!
