Hey guys thanks for the reply as for more info :-

1. How long have you been studying? :- i have been studying for 1 and Half Months Now
2. Are you following ay preparatory course/book? :- I initially started with Kaplan Premier 2016 and then OG
3. What is your target score? Anything between 650-680

When you took your CATs:
1) On what date did you take each CAT? :- the 1st test i gave was on 3rd March, 2nd on 14th March , 3rd 21st and 4th on 27th
2) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT (including the Essay and IR sections)?Yes i did give the entire thing
3) Did you take them at home? Yes i took all of the test at home
4) Did you take them at the same time of day as your Official GMAT?Yes iam shceduled for 12:15 and i maintained the same time for all test
5) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you couldn't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)? Nope i gave all the tests simulating how it would be on the day of official GMAT
6) Did you ever take a CAT more than once?No i dint these are all different

to add to the info on analyzing the latest CAT i could have done right 7 out of 11 Quant problems that i went wrong on.

And out of the Verbal i went wrong on 16 questions, 8 SC ,4 RC & 4 CR - RC and CR both question went wrong because i was left with no time and just plainly rushed through the texts.

I thought if this might help in charting some course corrections.

regards

Hi umg4147,

Considering your goal score, and these practice CAT scores, you likely need far more time to study than you've given yourself. Many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) on their studies before they hit their 'peak' scores, so it's likely that you just have not put in enough time and effort yet. There's no harm in taking the GMAT in 10 days, but you'll probably end up taking it again later on, so you have to decide if you'd rather spend $250 to retake the GMAT later or $50 to reschedule this Test to a later date.

Many Test Takers who use a 'book-heavy' study approach end up getting 'stuck' at a particular score level. When combined with just 1.5 months of study, it's not surprising that your scores have fluctuated. Your goal score IS achievable, but you will probably need another 1-2 months of consistent, guided study and you would probably benefit from investing in a GMAT Course of some type (either Guided Self-Study or instructor-led).

1) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

Hey Rich

Thanks for the help, so thats what i have done :-

1. Rescheduled so i have now roughly 1 month\
2. Enrolled with Empower
3. And Have completed my 1st day

The situation of my VISA is such that i can apply only for the SEP 2016 intake and that too in London.

So i have already missed like 3 rounds, dont wanna miss the next rounds.

So as the situation looks like, its me and 3 odd weeks to pull it off.

Regards

Hi umg4147,

Since you're studying under a limited timeframe, it's important to be as efficient with your studies as possible.

1) What is your exact Test Date?
2) How many hours can study during a typical week?

Hey Rich

1) What is your exact Test Date? - My Test Date is 19th April (i know not to much but London Centre is booked for 2 and Half Months and this was the only date i could get)
2) How many hours can study during a typical week? Well iam on a sabbatical for now, so iam devoting as much as i can

Iam currently going by the score booster, cz i think that fits in the time frame iam working with.

Please suggest if any things i need to do more or less, and any particular strategy that you can chalk out.

regards

Hi umg4147,

I have a few follow-up questions:
1) In your original post, you stated that you were taking the GMAT in 11 days, but in this last post you say that it's on April 19th (which is 21 days away). So is it 11 days or 21 days?
2) Is the London Testing Center really fully-booked for the next 2.5 months? Is there really NO OTHER SPOT available on any day at any time?

Given your score goal, you'll have to make some big adjustments to how you handle the Verbal section of the Test. You also have a much greater opportunity to pick up points in the Verbal section than in the Quant section (although there are some serious points still available in the Quant section too) - so if you're sticking with this shorter timeframe then you should put a bit more emphasis into your Verbal studies.
