Hi all,
Apologies if I’m posting this in the incorrect forum.
Just got out of my first attempt at the local test center, scored 760. I accidentally went into the testing room after one of the breaks with the transparent plastic bag that had my snack (now empty). Did all IR and AWA with the plastic bag laying in the table without even looking at it. After the test finished, the proctor told me that I *could have been* penalized for that but didn’t expressly say I was.
Now I’m fearing my score will be canceled. How would I know if it were? Would it have been in that moment or do I have to wait for the official results? Would they have had notified me there and then?

Hi. Sorry about the stress.
If there is a violation filed, it will show up on your score report that it is being investigated. If it does not show up in the 48 hour time-frame, it is unlikely it will be filed afterwards.
That is a bit odd to have a bag/object/item with you in the testing room. However, it seems that it should be pretty clear (in many meanings of that word) that you were unlikely to use/benefit/steal anything using the bag. There are video cameras at the test center that will allow them to review the footage if you did have an issue but I think the proctor also probably realizes it will be a fool's errand to try to chase someone about a clear plastic bag and they would look pretty silly to flag it.
You can only wait and see though I would say chances of anyone flagging it are low.
Hope the score sticks.

Hi PabloMzm,
As long as the proctor did not flag it, this is unlikely to be an issue. As for your question, a score can be canceled even if the test center staff did not say anything. But again, this happens very rarely.
