In a square, the length of a side is s and the diagonal is d. What is the perimeter of the square?
(1) The area is 25 cm2.
(2) The diagonal is \(5\sqrt{2}\) cm.

Given - Side = S,Diagonal=d.
Perimeter = 4S -->to be found
1) Area = s^2 = 25
Hence , S=5. Therefore Perimeter 4S=4*5.
2) Diagonal = \(10\sqrt{2}\) in.
Here X=90 degree and y=z=45 degree.
Using pythagoras theorem of 90:45:45 -> x√2 : x: x
We can find the side and solve for Permieter.
So - D

Area of a square = \(side^2\)
Diagonal of a square = \(\sqrt{2}*side\)
Perimeter of a square = 4*side
1) Area = 25cm2 => side = 5cm => Perimeter = 20cm => SUFFICIENT
2) Diagonal = \(10\sqrt{2}\) in. => Side = 10in. => Perimiter = 40in.
IMO D. But answers don't match..
