Bunuel I can see that figure here has a copy paste error and history tells me that correct figure should have been \(8√2\) instead of \(82√82\)

Diagonal of square = s\sqrt{2}
we were asked to find Perimeter of the given Figure(Not the perimeter of squares).
Given,
2*s\sqrt{2}=8\sqrt{2}
After solving We get S=4.
perimeter of figure is 10 *s =10* 4 = 40.
