I have. It seems some problem with their payment vendor in processing the payment. Ask net solutions AG. This is a challenge of you need to purchase something urgent! When you book the GMAT Pearson accepts the payment and it was really smooth.

Hi,

I am facing problems with payment during purchase on MBA.com. It is not a problem with my card as I have tried multiple cards and confirmed with several of my friends who are facing the same issue. I am writing on this forum to get a wider view on this. I heard this is a common problem with the site...it that what other feel too??
Hi GMATking94,

You could try using an international card (not issued in India), if that's an option. I've seen this work in the past, where test takers asked friends/family to make a payment on their behalf.

I think this is the best route to ask someone else to make the purchase.

On a sidenote, I have not seen widespread complaints about purchasing issues in the last 24 hrs. I haven’t seen any complaints actually besides this one…. It may be of course that everyone just decided to wait and not bother with it but checking with a friend or a family member may do the trick.

Hi GMATking94

Agree with AjiteshArun. You can try using a different card (preferably an international one). This might help.

On a side note, we had seen some students facing similar problems last year around June. It got resolved within a day or two.

Hi All,

I was finally able to purchase the ESR with my card.

I would be grateful is anyone of can review my ESR and let me know the best path forward. I have prepared for this attempt all by self and with immense help from this forum but would like to know the best approach to acheive my target score (750+). I plan to give next shot at it by mid June. I am working full time and can dedicate a max of 1.5 hours weekdays and upto 4 hours on weekends.

I have attached my ESR for your referance.

Thanks for your time.

Hi Sourodeep,

First off, a 700/Q48 is an outstanding Score, so you can comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement (and the more time that you have to act on that advice, the better). There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

Before we get to the data in your ESR, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) Is this your 1st time taking the Official GMAT? If there were other attempts, then when were they (and how did you score?)?
2) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
3) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
4) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

It would be helpful to know what you did or perhaps what you feel the reason for the problem was. This will help people in the future who run into similar situation. Any suggestions? Or tips?

Work on number properties and sentence correction while revising everything else.
740-750 in 2 months is quite achievable as per your current ESR.

Hi bb sure.

First of all I tried all my cards and nothing happened. It was showing "Payment not successful". I contacted few of my local friends and they informed me of facing similar issues during purchase of official mocks. They suggested me to wait a day or two. This time the issue persisted for almost 4 days which seems quite a hassale since many of us plan to buy the mocks just before our planned dates. This can be an issue. I don't think the issue was with Indian/non-Indian format of cards but rather issue with mba.com biller.

Please see my response below -

1. Yes this was my first attempt at GMAT.

2. Around 5 months with couple of weeks of gap for job commitments.

3. OG and GMAT forum.

4. Scores are as 640(Q49,V29), 660(Q46,V35), 730(Q50,V39). All official mocks.

5. R1 this year. Top 20. Depends on scholarship offers.

Thanks.
