Hi, is the Christmas competition directly relevant to the real GMAT focus exam questions or is it more of an extra, out of scope, for fun competition?

The competition questions are very much relevant and 100% aligned with the GMAT Focus exam. The questions for the competition are written by GMAT Club itself and Experts' Global (several Critical Reasoning questions).

hey, someone knows where I can find a number of abstract-structure questions to practice?

Questions like this: Which one of the following most accurately describes the organization of the final paragraph in the passage?

(A) A criticism is identified and its plausibility is investigated.

(B) The different arguments made by two opponents of a certain viewpoint are advanced.

(C) The arguments for and against a certain position are outlined, then a new position is offered to reconcile them.

(D) A belief is presented and its worth is debated on the basis of its practical consequences.

(E) Two different solutions are imagined in order to summarize a controversy.

It’s good thinking but not straight forward to implement. Maybe try key word search in the RC sub-forum...

You’ll get quite a number of passages in the search result. Browse the summaries and only do the passage(s) with the right kind of question you are looking for.

Try keyword "organization of paragraph".
