To be very honest its better to put in the options here mate and when you will just look at the question carefully you will see that the sum of both of them should add up to same in both functions that will only be possible if in both functions the alternate absolute values are same, ie Ix+3I of first function =. Ix+2I of second one and vice Versa and the only one that satisfies is -2

A shopkeeper purchased 20 identical units of an item at a cost of $20 per unit. He sold some of the units at a price of $x per unit and the remaining units at $y per unit. What was his gross profit made by selling the 20 units of the item?
(1) The number of units sold at $x per unit was 12
(2) The total revenue generated by selling the 20 units was $880
