question is asking to distribute the candies evenly in each of the three sections, so each section should be having equal candies, in 1st section we have 8, in 2nd we have 12 and in third we have 13 students, which means 8a = 12b = 13c = k, so we just need to find the lcm of (8,12,13) which is 312, so we need 312-260 = 52 candies more

It doesnt say all candies are to be distributed equally between students . So adding the options to 360 only 52 is divisible by 3. Hence that could be the answer

a+b+c+d+0.35 / 5 = 0.5
a+b+c+d+0.35 = 2.5
a+b+c+d = 2.15

Now assuming the next greatest value to 0.35 would be 0.36. And assuming that b=c=d which is 0.36 then
a+ 0.36 +0.36 + 0.36 = 2.15
a= 2.15- 0.36*3
a= 1.07
Now making another assumption that b=c=d=0.35 then also
a + 0.35*4 =2.5
a = 1.1

and hence the greatest value of amongst the 5 cannot be greater than 1.1. D

D should be the answer as per me.

(I could be wrong guys!!!!!!!!)

2/3rd of total = sum total of Esha and Sam’s share. So total is (3*11)/2 which is 16.5. Then subtract 11 form 16.5

2.5L + 8.5L +1/3x= x
11L=2/3x
x=11†3/2 =16.5
So 1/3x= 5.5

so we know shakib paid 1/3 and that the total price was paid between siam , esha and shakib . we know that saim paid 2.5l and esha paid 8.5. now we can create an equation that is 2.5 + 8.5 + x = y(total cost if property) now we can try and replace X as 1/3 y because we know that shakib paid 1/3 of the total cost . now we have 11 +1/3 y=y . 11 = y- 1/3 y . 11 = 2/3 y . 11*3=2y . 33/2= y . 16.5= y . now substract 11 from 16.5 for the value of X. you get the value as 5.5 l
