As for showing class have you read quotes from the Giants players? They are showing about as much class in victory as Belichick has showed in defeat. They are putting the Pats taunting of eagles fans at the end of the superbowl to shame. You may think my opinions are jaded because I am a pats fan but your opinions are just as biased against them. At least I have admitted to the bad things the Pats did and how scummy Belichick was at the end of the night.

I watched a lot of post-game coverage including interviews with Antonio Pearce, Burress & Eli. If the other team was publishing books about "19-0" and copyrighting the term, I would be as angry as they are. If my opponent invited me to their post-game party, I would be pretty ticked off. I think except for Dr.Z and a few other bloggers, pretty much the entire media gave them no chance inspite of their regular season near-upset. Obviously, they would have a chip on their shoulder. After all, isn't this how the Pats played the entire season? Needle them about spygate and they responded with a victory & snarky comments post-game.

Someone should teach the mayors about not jinxing their team. The Dallas mayor planned a parade when the Mavs were leading 2-0 in 2006 and now the Boston mayor did something similar by planning a parade route.

i admit i am biased. maybe im still bitter about my skins getting crushed earlier this year. imo the pats fell from endearment when they became an emotionless machine. they were the complete opposite of the giants who were winning of heart and emotion. the pats thought they could just go through the motions and win. also, i hate how the pats have become a team for mercenaries. it started with corey dillon, and then jr seau, and then randy moss. players think they can just go to the pats and get a ring. pretty soon they will stop drinking the kool-aid.

And boy are you taking this seriously river. I don't think grace, modesty, and class go well with the all-out spectacle that's the SuperBowl. :)

My friend works for one of the borough presidents in NYC. The president got two VIP tickets and 10 general admission tickets to the city hall ceremony at the end of the parade and my friend was able to snag one of the GA tickets. He's a Jets fan, but since he's a Yankees fan as well, he enjoys seeing the New England area lose.

Now that I have seen more of the Giants, I am liking them more just because of the players on the team.

Do you like Jeremy Shockey?

I know. Say what you want, but I think Shockey's injury was the turning point in the Eli Manning's season. He's played much better since Shockey went down. I wonder what they're going to do this off-season. Shockey has to be pissed he was a spectator when his team won a Super Bowl. Shockey has always been overrated in my opinion. Now that all those injuries are catching up to him, he sucks even more.

The Dr. Z article, priceless.

It's obvious river's taking it pretty tough. It may may have been him who trademarked "19-0." hahaha

rr, relax you guys still have 3 rings with your current QB. And I, for one, like Bill Belichek (Yes, like him). I just really hope this spygate incident doesn't tarnish his accomplishments.

Ahhhh, the ol' Shockey question. Some argue Shockey is still a weapon, another option for Eli. Others argue that having limited options (dumbing it down) has helped Eli become a better QB.

Sometime late in the season Coughlin decided that Eli was never going to be Dan Marino, John Elway or Peyton Manning. So he decided to run the ball more and limit Eli's passing. That led to Eli throwing more accurate passes, in turn nurturing his confidence.

Shockey is super talented. His growth was retarded by Coughlin who decided to make him more of a blocker (Check Shockey's rookie numbers sans Coughlin). Ultimately, when you compare all the baggage that he brings with the his potential production, is he worth it? Maybe, maybe not. (btw, I think Shockey would have outrun HGHarrison to the house)

In the end, maybe Tiki & Shockey were the cancers of the team. Who knows? They certainly weren't vital to a Super Bowl Championship.

Bingo! And if you can win without the attitude and distractions that Shockey brings to the table, why would you want him? The contract extension he signed a couple years ago will most likely keep him from being traded or released. However, if the Giants could get rid of him without taking a big salary cap hit, I bet they'd do it in a jiffy.

Most pubs have games live, so I imagine it can't be hard to get them if you have a dish. It probably costs a fair penny though.
Fox Soccer Channel shows some games, but they aren't live.

Using a sopcast player on your pc is an easy way. Of course, the quality is not going to be anywhere close to dish or cable.

I am not taking it hard at all really. I am a Pats fan but not nearly as much as I am a Red Sox fan. There are guys I work with who are season ticket holders who look like they were a wreck today...its pretty amusing when people are so wrapped up in a team that it gets to them that badly. That was me following Aaron Boones home run in 03...the sox get to me. Pats not so much. I am actually a bigger Bruins fan but they arent very good so its hard to get to wrapped up with them.

Oh by the way the book wasnt going to be published by the Pats. It had nothing to do with them...it was being published by the Boston Globe who are notorious for being dumb like that.
