I have covered all the topics once and now I am solving questions from Gmat Club's "Practice Question Bank". Almost half of the questions I am answering incorrectly which makes me feel that there is a long way to go for me. Can someone tell me if you have also faced similar situation and how did you overcome this.
Thanks

I would advise you not to take GMAT Club tests when you have not reached your target level. I would advise you to re-work on the concepts again and get the basics right. If you are using GMAT club for preparation i would suggest the below given plan

Check out this forum - https://gmatclub.com/forum/ultimate-gma ... 44512.html
The above given forum has everything you need for Quants

I would prepare one chapter at a time from the Quant megathread forum and practice related questions in GMAT Club.

For eg take section 1 - Arithmetic in the Quant megathread forum
1. Go through all links and posts under section 'Arithmetic'
2. Revise the concepts again in GMAT Club math book
3. At the end of the section, there is a link to PS/DS questions related to Arithmetic, i would solve atleast 25 questions in each difficulty level 500/600/700.

I would follow this cycle for all the chapters. This exercise would take some time, but am sure once you are done with thie exercise you would be comfortable with Quant.

PS:
Most importantly try to solve PS/DS butler daily questions. Daily practice is a must to score high in actual GMAT.

All the best for your preparation

Hi Rahul,

Before solving questions, I would suggest you to learn the right approach to solve questions. As GMAT is test which focuses on application of concepts, your application skills/methodology have to be solid. So, focus on the process and then move to solving questions. If you are wondering what do I mean by the right methodology, then let me explain it to you from CR perspective. Below is the comparison of how a student solves a CR questions using a normal approach and using the right methodology.

General strategyMethodical approach
Read the argument Read the argument and identify the premise and conclusion
Read the question stemRead the question stem and start pre-thinking using the framework
Jump into statements and evaluate each optionStart eliminating answer choices which do not match the pre-thought assumption

There is a certain framework on which most of the CR questions are based, Once you know that framework and start pre-thinking based on the guidelines, you can easily identify the missing link. Before that, identifying premise and conclusion is necessary as it will help you understand the scope of the argument and thereby eliminate answer choices which are either irrelevant or out of scope.
