I am a recently retired professional baseball player, lefty-pitcher, 96 mph fastball, played for 2 MLB affiliates. I am in my mid-twenties age wise. Graduated from Cornell University (Ivy League), STEM major, 3.4 GPA. Pitched for the Cornell University baseball team as well. I am taking the GMAT shortly but my practice tests are showing 720-730, but I will need to do that on the live GMAT. I want to get some non-pro baseball work experience. My question is: "Should I take a data analyst position with the Los Angeles Dodgers or Angels MLB organizations, or should I try to get into MBB (super tough!), Deloitte, PwC, or Accenture?" I have contacts at PwC and Accenture (I have had in person meetings with a PwC partner and ACN Director as they are Cornell alums.) so that is a possibility. The goal is to have the most attractive employer to put on my resume to try to get into an M7. I am kind of new to the whole GMAT/MBA thing but I am 100% I want to go in this direction. So, I would REALLY appreciate any and all advice, suggestions, or direction. Thanks!
