Dear
arpitkatyal,
I have done a thorough analysis of your profile and below are my observations.
Your profile demonstrates a strong blend of professional progression, leadership, global exposure, and organizational contribution. Unlike many consulting applicants who primarily execute projects, you've had opportunities to build teams, influence firm culture, recruit talent, and work directly with CXOs. Assuming you achieve a GMAT around 715, you would be a competitive applicant across your target schools. The focus now should be on ensuring your application reflects how you've shaped an organization, not just delivered consulting engagements. Some specific observations:
· Many management consultants apply to ISB, INSEAD and Cambridge every year. Your challenge is to demonstrate why your consulting journey is fundamentally different from hundreds of similar applicants.
· Your application should position you as someone who scaled an organization, not someone who simply grew alongside it. Admissions committees should clearly understand the role you played in that growth story.
· The 6.73 CGPA will naturally raise questions. A strong GMAT (715+) becomes particularly important to reassure the committee of your academic readiness.
· Having already spent so much time in front end consulting, what are some skill gaps that you feel and what career goals due to want to pursue post MBA that you cant do immediately.
· Your extracurricular profile is good, but most achievements are concentrated around college or within your organization. Recent community impact outside work would make your profile significantly stronger.
· Avoid making your essays project-centric. Instead, focus on how your thinking, judgment and leadership evolved through consulting rather than describing transactions.
As far as your school specific chances are concerned, below is the breakdown:
With a 705+ score, chances of admission to all schools become high. Of course, the assumption is you would submit compelling application materials as well and have an above average interview. Odds of making to ISB and Judge are high even with a 695.
I am an ISB alum CO15 and have been mentoring applicants over the last 9 years crack global MBA programs. Feel free to reach out to me if you seek dedicated assistance to get into your dream MBA program.
Cheers and wishing you all the best !!
