Hi mmadan8, I take it that you are hoping to be considered for these deferred admission programs now? So you've already applied and are waiting to hear? Or you're applying in the future? It's a little unclear what your timing is, and therefore whether you are looking for advice or predictions!

If you are looking for advice, I would simply say that you should convey your passion for whatever your goals are, and demonstrate your leadership in your endeavors and impact in what you've done, along with bringing out what sets you apart from the pack in what is a highly competitive category. You don't really mention your direction - I see marketing, finance, government...lots of different things...so it's a bit hard for me to see whether you are just trying things out or whether they link up as part of a plan. If you don't know yet, that's fine, but it may not make you an obvious fit for a deferred enrollment program, because they might not have a clear idea that you "need" it for some particular reason. They might just think you could apply later when you've figured things out a bit more.

If you're looking for predictions, well, I'm afraid I do not have a crystal ball...so all I can do is wish you good luck! Remember that these programs are very competitive but also a "no" will not count against you if you don't get in....it will be fine to reapply later. If you get an interview and need help preparing, we have lots of resources on our web site, and can also help you with a mock if you need to practice, just call us for a consultation to book one!

Warmly,
Julie-Anne
