Hi
I am 30 Years old from India, and targeting Top MBA schools in US for full time program.
I have done my Chemical Engineering from Bharti Vidyapeth, which is among top 1% Universities in India.
I have close to 4.5 years of work experience in Product Management as well as Production Management department in Companies like Atotech-Carlyle group and Kohler Corp. I got multiple promotions (Starting from Chemical Engineer to Assistant Manager) with 400X salary increase in my tenure. I left my corporate job to experiment myself in entrepreneurship back in Nov. 2019.
Post this experience, I am working as Strategy Advisor for a construction start up firm on Voluntary basis (No salary/Profit sharing) for almost 1.8 years. As part of side hustle, I was working on my start up project. I have been able to make MVP and gather innovators market to validate my product. In order to expand further I was seeking for external Investment, but due to current market scenario I have been waitlisted from multiple Investors, who loved the proposition of the product, but are skeptical to Invest in current market scenarios. The list of investors that have put me in waitlist includes Soft Bank Asia.
As of now, I am looking forward to put the project on hold and focus on honing my business acumen through MBA.
Academic Profile1) GMAT 710
2) Undergrad 56%
Area of Concern1) Low Undergrad score
2) Atypical work experience.
Can you suggest some MBA programs where my current profile fits?
What can I add in my profile to increase my likelihood for top20 MBA programs?
Is 30 too old to work against my profile? If not, would you recommend waiting for a year more to increase my GMAT score and other areas of improvement in profile, subsequently increasing my likelihood for better MBA programs?
Anything that you'd like to share will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
