Dear all,
I heard great stuff about
Admissionado. Thanks for taking the time.
Could you please give a few insights on my profile?
GMAT 710 (Q49, V39, IR8, AWA6)
Brazilian living in London
32 years old
Experience:
- Spent 6 years doing Investment Banking at Credit Suisse in Brazil
- Founded an M&A boutique with my previous boss at Credit Suisse. 2 years there. Sold my shares to him and moved to Switzerland to study.
- 1 year as director of IR and M&A at a Series B startup, now working as board advisor
- 7 months as director of finance structuring a corporate venture capital in London. Didnt work out during this VC crisis
Education:
- Bachelor’s in BA (Insper, Brazil, graduated in 2012). Very well reputed in the country. GPA around 3.
- LLM in Corporate Law (Insper + HSG in Switzerland, graduated in 2021). GPA 4.0, I was first of the class despite not being a lawyer, and now my thesis might be published as a book.
Extracurricular:
- A lot of volunteering and mentorship to low income students
- I am also a professional musician
Target:
I would love to give a shot at GSB, Harvard, and Wharton. MIT and Insead also appreciated.
Do you think my target schools are a stretch?
Do you envision any particular strategy to maximize my chances?
Am I too old to try the ones in the US? How to stand out?
I had a problem with my gmat and lost around 7 minutes in the quant session. Could take that again, but deadlines are near.
I am using
Target Test Prep (great course, by the way)
Thank you so much for taking the time. I would love to hear some insights.
