Hey,
shivaam1Your profile is strong for applying to MBA programs, particularly considering your work experience and extracurricular involvement. Approximately, you have 3 years of experience with recognition as a top performer, which shows the combination of ability and capacity to lead. Which appeals to MBS programs, your experience at a 3D printing startup company demonstrates adaptability in different job areas.
Academically, your CGPA is good enough, especially when taking into account the competitiveness of engineering programs in India. Your GMAT Focus score of 665 puts you within reach, although many top tier programs typically see higher averages specifically for Indian male engineers.
In addition, your GMAT breakdown shows dominance across all sections. Leading positions held while on campus demonstrate how well you can guide and interact with diverse groups, whereas taking part in social initiatives adds to the substance of one’s profile.
When considering application strategy, target schools with similar GMAT averages as yours and those that prize diversity. Good fits are schools like ISB, but there is also a range of options like IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore, which have strong consulting tracks and even overseas programs such as Cambridge Judge, or NYU Stern.
Essays that will highlight your unique story are important; focus on your roles in terms of contribution, particularly how this reflects on projects and initiatives. Furthermore, you should include strong references to support your management experience, analytical skills and potential for growth in the recommendation letters. Although you have a competitive GMAT score, try to retake the exam if you believe you can improve it significantly because most top programs demand scores above 700 for Indian male engineers. Finally, engaging alumni from colleges of interest could help you gain some insights on what these programs value most.
