Hi Pixelpot
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, you have got a very strong profile for ISB- IIT undergrad with a solid CGPA, 8+ years in the steel industry, and an amazing GMAT score puts you right in the competitive range.

Your shift from hands-on maintenance to data analytics and supply chain optimization shows good career progression and problem-solving depth, which ties nicely to your consulting goals.

For your essays, focus on showing how your analytical and operations background translates into structured problem-solving and leadership. Also add a personal touch about leading teams or driving impact like your event management role, to round out the story.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!
No pressure, no strings - just helpful insights on where you stand and how you can strengthen your chances.

Hi Pixelpot,

Your stable career graph, stellar GMAT score, and fine academic pedigree will help you build a strong case.

You must, however, address the need for the PGP at this point in your career and what you specifically wish to do post its completion; thus, having a set of goals that sync well with your experience in the manufacturing industry and are also a logical extension of what you are doing presently will prove to be helpful. When you talk about the IPBA course in your essays, you must focus on how it has added value to your profile and how it showcases your urge to constantly up-skill.

A set of compelling essays will give you a very strong chance of receiving an interview call.

For a detailed discussion, please leave an inquiry for a free strategy session; if we are able to give you some good insights, we will be happy.

All the best!

I recently gave my GMAT scoring 705. (Quant: 90, VR: 82, DI: 83)

I currently have 8+ years of experience of working in steel manufacturing industry.
1 year of training, 3 years mostly focused of maintenance and reliability improvement, rest on data analytics of maintenance for cost and inventory along with supply chain management for optimization of cost and inventory.

Completed a distant IPBA course of IIM Indore in 2024 (4 CGPA)
I passed my engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar (CGPA: 8.39)
My +2 Score was 96%.

Was the head of event management team for the technical fest during my college days.

I am extremely interested in problem solving and am looking to shift into consulting firms post MBA.

Looking to apply for ISB R2.

Any suggestions on essays will be helpful

Dear Pixelpot,

We can see clear strengths in your profile including good academics, an exceptional GMAT score, and strong work experience. With 8 plus years of work experience, you certainly fall into the bracket of candidates above the median work experience. We personally do not see this as a disadvantage; rather it is a strength as your experience is diversified and will help you stand out from a pool of candidates dominated by experience in IT. ISB also encourages applicants from diverse professional backgrounds to join the cohort, so your application will be taken in good stead.

At this stage, we do not have much information on your extracurriculars, but adding meaningful activities there could further enrich your story and add layers to your essays, making your profile even more appealing.

At Team FLY, we are a collective of ISB alumni dedicated to supporting prospective MBA applicants with profile positioning, essay reviews, and interview preparation.

In summary, we believe your profile has strong potential. To understand your profile and your goals better and provide more personalized guidance, please feel free to book a 15 minute free session for a detailed discussion with us: https://calendly.com/reachusfly/15min

With warm regards,
Team FLY
