Hi,
I am planning to apply for R2 MBA Class of 2024. Please find details for my candidacy below. Would appreciate feedback on my chances.
Background and nationality - Indian, 28, Male
Undergrad Information - Good Public Univ (GPA 3.6) ~ Tier 2. Tier 1 would be IIT's.
GRE: 164 Q 163 V
Work experience and leadership : 6 years total work-ex. Last 5 at Microsoft, as a Consultant. Of the last 5 years, I have been in the US for 3 and have lived in Washington and Texas.
Community and others. - Not a lot of EC's tbh. Did some volunteering here & there and helped on some programs for women returning to work.
Post MBA goals - Product Management at big tech. I do want to give case prep a try and maybe pivot to Consulting but not decided.

Hi Akshay076 - Thank you for reaching out. You have a great GRE score, but I would want to know a lot more about you before I could fully assess your profile. For example, do you have a sense for what schools you are targeting? You mention case studies - which brings to mind Darden as a school you might consider, and I think might be a good fit for your profile based on what you've shared.
I would also want to know more about your work experience - can you demonstrate impact and/or leadership? Have you been promoted or otherwise performed better than your peers? Schools do ideally want to see EC experience - have you done anything at work beyond your day-to-day job, such as serve as a mentor, or help with recruiting or a diversity committee? Those could count towards EC experience.
Schools ideally also want to see more definition around your short and long term goals -- they realize you might change your mind once you're in school, but they want to see your ability to create and explain a plan now based on what you know.
