I would aim for schools in the 20-40 range (we typically use US News and World Report). Although it sounds like you've had some solid work experience you face some challenges as well. You have more years of experience than the average applicant, your GPA is on the low end and although a 710 is generally a solid score, you are coming from the toughest demographic out there when it comes to b-school applications (as you likely know) and it's also a demographic that tends to have very high GMAT scores. Schools with average scores in the 660-680 range would be good targets for you assuming you keep your 710 & are not able to raise your score. Applying to schools where you exceed their average will mean the adcom is more likely to overlook the low GPA & the higher than average years of work experience. Applicants typically have 3-5 years of experience upon entering b-school and when you have more than that, schools get nervous that you no longe need the degree. Since your "why MBA" argument rests on your career goals, it will be especially important for you to name some strong, specific ones so you can then make a strong argument for the skill gaps you do need to fill via the MBA in order to achieve success in those goals.

I'd consider Tepper, UNC & Emory as stretch schools. Kelley would be a good one to consider as would Arizona State and Texas A&M.
