Good morning John,
Thank you for the feedback; it is really appreciated. You mentioned that I would really need to convince UNC that I want to go there especially if I mention that I am applying to more highly ranked program; do schools usually ask this because I have a hard time imagining why I would willingly tell them. Would there be another program that I should look at instead of UNC?

Thank you.

It's not that they ask that, its just that they need to protect their Yield. And with a 750, they may think to themselves "we are only a backup school" And if he gets in somewhere better, we dont even have a chance of convincing him to come to our school." But if you can show them that you DO have love for the school and that there is a chance that yes, you will go because, you really like the school, then great!

I don't have a particular recommendation outside of UNC specifically at this point without getting to know you better, and it is an excellent school, so if you like it, definitely apply...

Best,
JF
