Hi Shilpa:
Our take on academics:
Not sure from where you have graduated and your GPA in your college. If your scores are good, then it does check the boxes on your academic accomplishments.
Work experience:
Good to know that you are working in IT consulting. Please note that quality of work experience is important than quantity. In the application you need to impress upon what initiatives, roles and challenges you have overcome – while stating the impact on the team/department and organization. Like mentioned above, focus on the quality of work in each task and project. This should be focused in desired areas of the application.
1 vs. 2 years:
With 6 years of experience (at the time of admission), we would recommend to focus on specific programs in US and Canada. One, it saves time while giving you wide range of business skill sets. Two, you need to work on few projects/internships to show that you understand the work culture in those respective countries. Three: work on building opportunities to network with corporates and alumni during the course of 1 year to reach your desired career goals.
Test scores:
If you are looking at competitive MBA programs, your score of 730 makes you aim for admissions and scholarships.

Hi,
I would appreciate if you can evaluate my profile based on my GMAT score, Work exp and MBA field.
Work Exp: 6 Yrs
Indian, IT , Female
GMAT: 730 Q50 V42, IR 3 and AWA 5
MBA Field of Interest: IT Consulting
I am looking for 1 year mba in US or Canada . I cannot afford expensive courses as my budget is not more than 50,000 USD.
At the same time I do not want to compromise on the ROI factor. (Return on investment)
Kindly suggest me some good BSchools on basis of these factors.
Thanks,
Shilpa
