Why an MBA?
I am a person who is naturally addicted towards technology, right from the childhood days. As a result, I have a unique capability to make or suggest ways in which technology can affect Medical Science for the betterment of the masses and thus make healthcare industry move towards a positive direction. Doing these things is possible when you are at an important position in the healthcare industry with an authority and knowledge to push the people in the right direction. This is where an MBA can help me. It can help me gather the knowledge and know-how of the ways in which cost effective measures can be implemented for better patient care. Thus both the industry as well as the patients are benefited. I consider my case a unique one since, after an MBA, I'll have the knowledge of a manager and business as well as the perspective of a Physician and Laboratory Scientists. At the same time my profile can make me an ideal candidate for leading positions in Pharma Industries, Hospital Chains and Leading Healthcare projects in varied background.
Which Schools?
I have in my mind certain schools which I am looking forward to apply to- Wharton MBA program, HBS, Stanford, INSEAD. and in India- India School of Business (First Choice) and IIM, Ahmedabad. But I'll really like to know a few more schools which have a very good MBA program in Healthcare and excellent placements.
I'll Soon start preparing for GMAT and plan to take up the test within next 6-7 months. Target Score - 730+
