A friend of mine asked to post this to figure out what are his chances
He is male, 30 years old

GMAT 730 (Q47, V43)

Languages: Armenian - Native
Russian - Fluent
English - Fluent

Education Background:
Armenian Police Academy - Course for the Police - 2007 November - 2008 April 3.8 GPA
Armenia Police Academy - Bachelor of Laws (Bachelor of Laws) - 2011-2016 - GPA 3.9

Work Experience:
Mandatory Military Service in National Army - June 2006- June 2007
During the military, he had 2 promotions from Private to Lance Sergeant to Sergeant.
All 2 years were spent in a war zone on a border.

National Police - 2009- Currently
During that period of time, He had the following Promotions in Rank:
2009-2010 Sergeant
2010-2012 Staff Serjeant
2012-2016 Warrant Officer (as far as I understand in the US it is Sergeant Major)
2016 - Currently - Lieutenant

The overall experience is 11 years

He would like to know what are the chances for Harvard, Wharton, Stanford, Haas, Booth, Tuck, Columbia?
Also, what are the overall chances for scholarship in top 50 US Business Schools?

Well dude,
Your friend has a very interesting and unique profile.

First of all we do not see that many Armenian applicants, which is great for him.
Secondly, we see even less Armenian military applicants :)
Third, coming with a military background usually means LOTS of leadership which is fantastic.
And he is the right age and has great grades.

But this is where the questions START - the big one being - what did he do? What does he want to do? How are these two connected? And where does the MBA come into play?

This is the starting point for our conversation.

Basically if he can get a GMAT of 730+ I think top 10 schools will be in range, but I would love to hear more first.

Tell him to feel free to drop us a line for a more full-on Free Consultation: http://bit.ly/mbafcGC

Best,
JF
