Goal - my short term goal is to work more closely with clients/businesses in technology sector and expand my expertise beyond my current level (SAP TECH) and explore other technologies to deliver complete 360 degree tech transformation. My long term goal is align more towards public policy for which, I'll be utilizing my tech experience and would work closely with GoI to provide tech based solutions in public space. For that, I can join the GoI workforce through lateral hiring in the position of joint sec or add sec and provide my consultation in professional level.
Hi Anjay ! Your profile has good work experience with leadership in both technical and CSR initiatives, which aligns well with ISB's emphasis on leadership and impact. However, your GMAT score of 645 is decent but below ISB’s average, and given your Tier 3 undergraduate background, it might be challenging to compete with other strong applicants. Retaking the GMAT and targeting a score of 710+ would significantly strengthen your application. Your extracurriculars demonstrate well-roundedness, but linking your hobbies (like geopolitics) to your long-term public policy goal could add depth. Clearly articulate how ISB's curriculum and network align with your aspirations for tech-driven public policy impact. Try to blend your narrative with the school’s values. Connect with ISB alumni and get some more insights. What's going to matter most in your application is how you connect the experiential dots and build a great story to stand out from other applicants in the pool. From the information you shared, we believe you may have a good shot at ISB.

If you’d like, we are happy to hop on a 1:1 call with you to discuss your profile in detail and shortlist schools for you. Feel free to schedule a profile evaluation callaccording to your convenience.

Hi,

A higher GMAT score would definitely boost your application.
You should also work on the fit with the program very deeply. Your career goals require further refinement to present a more convincing MBA argument. An MBA's value proposition typically extends beyond technical skill enhancement. Your long-term aspiration in public policy and government service is an interesting pivot. However, the path from technology consulting to public policy requires careful research.

Try to explore these aspects deeply for a strong application.

All the best!

Hello Anjay,

We quite agree with the comments above; you have some time in hand before the deadline and should take one more shot at improving your test score.

Rest, a lot will depend on the quality of essays you put forth and how well they demonstrate your strengths and articulate your goals. The following video will be helpful:
