Hi,
I would like your opinion on my profile so that I can plan my target score for GMAT
Nationality: Indian
X: 82%
Xll: 74%
Graduation: Grade A
Work Experience
I have worked as a Marketing Executive and Marketing Manager across two startups in the FMCG Sector. and would have work experience of 4 years before my MBA (Target is Batch of 2022).
My long term goal is to build a career in FMCG (In Marketing/Consulting)
Interned in two Investment Banks for a total period of 5 months
Other
- Hold a small percentage of equity in one of the startups since I have been there from the start
- Cleared CFA Level 1
My target is Melbourne Business School, so what sort of score should I target on the GMAT and any other areas/extracurriculars to improve my profile.

Hi Hamza2803 - thank you for reaching out! The average GMAT score at Melbourne Business School is 703 (their website specifies that recent students have scored 695 or higher) -- so getting a score at or above that average should help your chances. Do you currently have any extracurriculars? It's great to demonstrate leadership and specific achievements through your extracurriculars (in addition to demonstrating these via your work if possible). You will also need to write a compelling story for them about yourself via their essays - explaining your experience, where you want to head with your career and the impact you hope to have (and why), and why an MBA from their school is a particularly good fit to help you get there.
