Hi,
I just took the GMAT and scored a 720. (Q : 50, V : 35, IR : 5, AWA: 4)
First of all I would like to ask if I should retake the exam because of my low AWA and IR scores ?

My profile :
Gpa : 8 ( on a scale of 10)
Positions of responsibility:
President of chemistry association
Joint sports secretary

Internships:
Business development associate at Council of Science and Technology , Govt of India.
Businees development manager at Mentored-Research.

Work ex: less than 1 year as a Product Manager in a leading e-commerce company of India.

I was targeting the following schools. Please let me know if they are safe or ambitious :
Duke
HEC
ESSEC
Michigan
LBS

Also please suggest some MiM programs that i should apply to.
Thanks.

Schools don't care that much about AWA or IR scores so I wouldn't worry about that too much & a 720 is solid. If you can get your overall score up to 740+ that will help your candidacy since you are coming from a demographic that tends to have very high GMAT scores & you will be compared against them. But a 720 is still a totally solid score.

Rather than the GMAt, the main weakness of your application will likely be your short amount of work experience. Most schools look for 3-5 years of experience on average & you are quite a bit below that. It's tough to have had much impact in only a year & they are looking to see the impact you've had at work. More work experience also allows you to contribute more to class discussions & to have had time to flesh out some strong, career post-MBA career goals. So, unless you are in a rush, it maybe worth waiting another year before you apply. That would give you time to rack up more work experience, more accomplishments at work and potentially get your GMAT score up even higher. Right now it would be fairly tough to get into any of these schools.
