Hey
aldobrambilla,
Well, to be honest, the information is a bit limited to make a realistic estimate of your chances at MiM or Msc Finance in Europe or Deferred MBA in the USA.
But from the Information that you’ve provided, I’d say that you have a pretty decent Profile.
GPA is surely a strong highlight in your profile. But you need to note that when you’re targeting colleges like HEC Paris or Bocconi a Gmat score of 700+ or a Gre score of 165+ adds extra weight to your profile. So, your current GMAT score can be a slight issue but it is not a deal-breaker if you highlight other strengths of your application properly.
As such, there is no work experience required in MiM or Deferred MBA (you get a period of 2 years to build your work ex in the case of a deferred MBA) but surely some work experience in your application can be a plus point. Your Work experience is on a bit lower end but you can compensate for it by taking initiatives in community development projects or applying for Management related internships in reputed companies.
Along with a good profile, you need a extracurriculars that can be showcased through your essays and LOR’s. This can be in the form of some very strong achievements, or a very unique skill set - Something that you do better than the others. Maybe you'll need to build it, or maybe you already have it in your profile.
As you haven’t mentioned any of your extracurriculars, I’m afraid I won't be able to give you a proper evaluation based on them.
In Fact, I’d suggest you send me your updated resume at
info@mim-essay.com, that way I’ll be able to help you even in a better way.
Overall, I’d say that for MiM, HEC Paris would fall under a dream college category whereas Bocconi would come in a competitive range.
For a Master in Finance, you can think of targeting Boconni. Other than that for deferred MBA
Darden would fall in your competitive range whereas Yale and MIT can be considered as your Dream Colleges.
Hope this helps!
