December 2018- march 2020- Plant manager at a local Indian manufacturing firm. (revenue 10 million USD)
May 2020- present- Assistant manager- at Indian FMCG company (revenue 50 million USD)- 2 significant salaried promotions- worked as project lead in projects with Indian Army, Parle, Britannia, Udaan, etc.- solely accountable for the preparation of financial statements, performing capital budgeting and finance-related managerial decisions- also, working as a compliance officer with the firm.
October 2021- present- volunteering in Boddhi tree foundation as a teaching faculty- taught 100's of students in mathematics and English subjects.
September 2021- October 2021- Internship- research associate intern at legacy research solutions- preparation of financial articles and dissertation of Ph.D. level.
Skilled in - financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, capital budgeting (DCF, DDM models), and game theory.

Hi nj97 , decent profile. As someone from manufacturing domain myself I can assure you of the potential your profile holds at top B Schools.
Admissions to B Schools depend on how well you have crafted the entire narrative in your application. Addressing the following points in your essays as well as the interview would show you in strong light
1. Demonstrate you are a planner. Show how all the decisions taken by you in your career were inspired by a vision to achieve the designated goal. What is your goal and what keeps you going in life? How are your post MBA goals related to what you have done so far in your career?
2. Showcase growth trajectory and willingness to hustle. Clearly explain how year on year you were awarded increased responsibilities in your career such as bigger P&L responsibility, team management, decision making and so on. Use examples wherever possible to show how you influenced people, managed conflicts within teams, motivated people to expedite projects and influenced senior management to make the right decisions.
3. Share your personal story and factors that shaped your persona. All B Schools want to know your person before they can commit to you a place in their next cohort. Take time to reflect on what values and experiences would you bring to the school as a result of factors that influenced you due to your family background and circumstances during formative years. Talk about any diversity or community initiatives you may have taken at/outside work. Say how you will continue to make relevant meaningful contributions to the society in future.
I tell my applicants not to drive the interview towards closure unless they have addressed all of the above points in the interview.
