I want to get into a MBA course in Fall 2018, and planning to apply in R1 next year.
Profile review at this point will help me identify gaps and plan better for my applications next year.
My Profile: - Nationality/Gender/Age - Indian/M/24
- GMAT- 730 (50Q, 39V)
- Academic qualification - B.Tech from one of top National Institute of Technology, India
- CGPA - 9.73/10 (gold medalist)
Work experience: - A total of 3.5 years experience as of now and 5+ years by the time I join MBA program in 2018
- ~3 years in top healthcare management consulting firm
- Worked on majorly strategy consulting projects in the area of marketing and sales
- Founding member of practice group that expanded from 3 to 25 people
- Short product management experience on an app which drove significant incremental sales for a healthcare client
- Currently working as product manager in a well funded healthcare startup
International Exposure - Couple of consulting projects done for Asian and US healthcare clients
- Research internship in Germany
Awards & Recognitions- 1 promotion in management consulting in <2 years (average duration was ~2.5 years)
- Gold medal for scoring highest GPA in undergrad
- Research fellowships in undergrad incl. DAAD WISE fellowship, Science Academy fellowship and one more
- Authored a research publication in international game theory conference
- Appointed as DAAD young ambassador from India
Extra –Curricular activities:- No significant extra curricular outside undergrad. Planning to work on it now.
- Headed designing and multimedia committees in college symposiums
- Event organizer for multiple business and marketing management competitions in undergrad
- Won more than 10 awards in business plan, advertising, dramatics, and graphic designing in national level competitions in undergrad
Post MBA plans: - Work as product manager for a early stage startup in US/ Europe and eventually start a startup in the area of healthcare tech
