Greetings,
I will be applying in the final round application for Masters in Finance at HEC, LBS, ESSEC, BOCCONI, ESADE & St.Gallen. Need your help to evaluate my profile and chances of an offer.
1) Bachelors in Economics and Statistics from a semi-target: 8.5/10 CGPA (translates to 3.7/4 GPA according to a website).
1st rank in statistics in 2nd, 3rd and 4th semester (93, 97, 95/100)
2) GRE: 325 (170/170 Q, 155/170 V)
3) Strong recommendations from HOD and statistics professor
4) Extra-curriculars: President of Economics Club, Head of Advisory Board, Won a lot of strategy and debate competitions and presented a paper at the international economics convention ( got best speaker and contributor), started a college-based economics podcast and still manage it.
5) Certifications: NSE Captial Markets, Bloomberg Market Concepts
6) Internship: Interned as an analyst at a middle-market VC firm and will intern there this summer.
Worried because I am still 19 years old and feel like I am too young
Please tell me the chances of getting offers
You have a solid profile and a good GRE score. The Q score at 170 definitely boosts your chances. In terms of the programs, LBS and HEC are very focused on relevant experience, so creating a strong fit (through a strong app) will be critical here. For the others, your chances are really good. Your age (19) is not the determining factor here, as these are all pre-experience programs, but your overall profile fit, clarity in career goals, and strength of application will be critical.
Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed.
