Hi everyone,
My Background

Graduated in 2023
Final score: 75%

Around 2 years of full-time business experience managing and supporting operations in my family's PG accommodation business.
Responsibilities have included tenant management, customer service, occupancy optimization, operational coordination, vendor management, and day-to-day business administration.
Previously completed an internship as an Executive Assistant Intern at the Indore Management Association, where I was exposed to business networking, event coordination, and administrative operations.
Leadership & Social Impact:
Co-led a year-long educational initiative where a group of friends and volunteers adopted a slum community and conducted weekly educational drives for children from different age groups.
Coordinated volunteers and contributed to planning and execution of educational activities.

Career Goals
My long-term objective is to build a strong international business career, ideally in:
Strategy Consulting
Financial Advisory
Corporate Strategy
Business Transformation
I am also interested in entrepreneurship in the long run and hope to eventually create a sustainable business that generates employment and social impact.
In the short to medium term, my focus is on securing strong international exposure, developing analytical and strategic skills, and maximizing career opportunities in Europe and potentially the US.
My Dilemma
Given that I already have approximately 2 years of work experience, I am approaching the upper range of the traditional MiM candidate profile.
I am trying to determine which path offers the best long-term ROI:
Option 1: Start immediately
Accept Audencia (or IE if admitted)
Begin my studies in Europe in Fall 2026
Enter the job market sooner
Gain international work experience earlier
Option 2: Delay by one year
Continue working and gain another year of experience
Retake the GMAT and target a score above 605+
Apply to stronger MiM programs (HEC Paris, ESSEC, ESCP, LBS, etc.) or potentially MBA programs in the future
Aim for stronger consulting and finance recruiting opportunities.
Questions for the Community-
1. Based on my profile (BBA 75%, 2 years of family business experience, GMAT Focus ~555, Audencia admit with scholarship), would you pursue a MiM now or wait a year to improve the GMAT and target stronger schools?
2. How competitive would I be for Strategy Consulting, Financial Advisory, or Corporate Strategy roles after graduating from Audencia, IE, or SKEMA?
3. Does my family business experience carry meaningful weight with admissions committees and recruiters?
4. If I can improve my GMAT to 605+ or higher, would waiting one year likely provide a significantly better ROI?
Between Audencia, IE (if admitted), and SKEMA, which would you recommend for an Indian student targeting consulting/strategy careers in Europe?
5. What would you consider the biggest strengths and weaknesses in my profile?
6. If you were in my position today, what would be your next move and why?
Thanks in advance!
